Duxbury selectmen have decided to hold a public meeting in March so residents can learn about the proposed new rules for the town’s cemeteries.
At their meeting Monday night, the board held off from voting on the new rules and agreed they would hold a meeting in mid to late March after the annual Town Meeting to gather input from residents about the changes to the cemetery regulations recommended by the Cemetery Trustees.
Selectman Shawn Dahlen requested that the board take this action, saying that due to the “emotional” nature of the cemeteries, he felt that the public should have time to learn about the changes.
