Thursday, Aug. 8 - Something Fishy in Duxbury Bay with Judy Rembisz: ocean sunfish, jellies and sandtigers. With 20 years of experience interviewing recreational anglers for a study, Judy will share fun facts such as: how to determine a fish’s age and why some swallow rocks.

Tuesday, Aug. 20 - Beach Stones with Judy Maciocí. Where do they come from, where do they get their shapes, colors, and designs, and what makes them? Join Teacher Naturalist, Judy Macioci for some beach combing, the answers to these questions and more.

Saturday, Aug. 24 - Family fun on the beach: Sand Castle Science with Teacher Naturalist Laura Maloney. Bring your buckets, shovels, and castle-building tools.

Tuesday, Aug. 27 - Algae Pressing with Carolyn Sones. Explore life at the water's edge, learn the technique that scientists use to preserve algae for further examination and make your own algae pressing with amateur botanist, Carolyn Scones.

 Thursday, Aug. 29 - Causing a Hoot at Duxbury Beach with John Galluzzo. Join handler, John Galluzzo, and Hedwig the Barred Owl from the Natural Science Center as they share all about owls.

Saturday, Aug. 31 - Family fun on the beach:  Is summer over already? Join Teacher Naturalist, Laura Maloney, for some beach-side trivia.
