Duxapalooza Music Festival and Carnival at the Duxbury Student Union is right around the bend. On Saturday, Aug. 10 from 3 to 8 p.m., the entire community is invited to come to Duxapalooza, sponsored by the Paul S. Fortini Foundation.
Duxapalooza’s musical lineup features is a mix of young performers just starting out on the Duxbury music scene, as well as some well-established musicians now playing professionally around the South Shore, Boston and across the United States. We are thrilled to announce an exciting lineup featuring acoustic performances by Maddy Clark, Alenni Davis, Sam Katz and Kate Cameron. Duxbury favorites The Fontaine Brothers, Ike and Luke, return to the DSU stage and welcome guest vocalist Jess Williams. You won’t want to miss performances by newly formed youth bands like Catastrophic Predicament and Badfish and then more seasoned entertainers, Windsor Tree and Government Chocolate.
There’s something for everyone at Duxapalooza. In addition to music all afternoon long, enjoy carnival attractions suitable for toddlers to teens, including bouncy houses, inflatable games, water slides, a dunk tank and pony rides. Bring your appetite for hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy and more.
Tickets and T-shirts are available for purchase online through Aug. 9 at duxburystudentunion.com. Tickets are $5 per person in advance or pay $10 per person at the gate. Secure your limited edition Duxapalooza 2013 commemorative t-shirt featuring the names of all performers by purchasing online in advance while supplies last.
