It appears the Dragons are still the class of Massachusetts high school lacrosse. But once they go past the Commonwealth’s borders it seems to be a different story.

After pummeling Pembroke (17-4) and Billerica (13-5), the Dragons travelled to New York on Saturday to face Niskayuna for their annual confrontation. The visitors didn’t show much hospitality, as they made the ride home to Duxbury a long one by pinning an 11-3 loss on the Dragons.

The Silver Warriors gave the Dragons their fourth out- of-state loss this year with C.J. LoConte scoring a pair of goals for Duxbury.

Earlier in the week, the Dragons ended their two-game losing streak by taking care of Pembroke with Wes Quinzani and Tanner Williams, each scoring four goals, while sophomore Jack Corbett got the call in net.

Duxbury hits the road for two tough games this week again Hingham and on Thursday night in Medfield, before returnign home on Friday afternoon to take on Silver Lake at 4 p.m.
