|You Are Brave Campaign|
|Tuesday, 16 April 2013 15:46|
We need your child's assistance to launch Rock Paper Scissor's "You Are Brave" campaign in response to the Boston Marathon tragedy. While we understand there may be children who are not aware of the tragedy, there will be many who know what happened, or who will learn about the events in the coming days.
We are asking children who want to help, to draw pictures or write letters focusing on the many brave acts that occurred. We understand many children are worried, confused and looking for a way to help, and we hope this idea will provide a way for them to make a difference. We will deliver the letters and drawings to those recovering in local hospitals, to police stations and fire stations, and to volunteers at the Boston Athletic Association. We plan to deliver the first batch this Friday, April 19, and will continue to deliver every Friday until there are no more to deliver.
For parents, we are setting up a fund to help the victims and will match any donation up to the first $1,000. If you are interested in donating to help the victims, please drop off or mail a check to RPS P.O. Box 1315, Duxbury, MA 02331, made out to the RPS You Are Brave Fund. All money will be donated to the victims to help with their recovery.
Please feel free to contact Kim or Leslie at 781-452-7376 with any questions. Thank you for your consideration and support.
