A Duxbury tree worker was flown to a Boston hospital Monday afternoon after falling from a bucket truck.
The Duxbury Fire Depart- ment responded to a call Mon- day afternoon at approximate- ly 1:15 p.m. that a person had fallen out of a bucket truck to the ground.
Deputy Fire Chief Chris- topher West said respond- ers arrived on the scene and found the man on the ground conscious and alert. The man was evaluated on the scene by paramedics who determined he would need to be seen at the trauma center at Massachusetts General Hospital. A helicopter was called in from Plymouth Municipal Airport to airlift the injured man to the hospital.
West said the tree worker was working at Southscape Condominiums at 225 Lincoln St. and fell approximately 30 feet to the ground.
As of Tuesday morning, there was no follow up con- ducted and the man’s condition was unknown, but West said he was “fairly stable” when he was taken to the hospital.
