|Storm causes major flooding|

The Duxbury Fire Department and Emergency Management has reported major flooding on Gurnet Road. The fire department and National Guard are staged on Cable Hill. Areas roads are reported as being harzardous and residents are urged to use extreme caution when traveling.
Nstar will also be switching circuits around town and some residents may lose power throughout the day.
On Thursday, school buses were not allowed to get down to the Gurnet section of town. After a two-hour delay, Duxbury schools have been closed for Friday as the storm continues slamming the coast.
As of one p.m., two percent of Duxbury Nstar customers were without power.
