Junior pitcher Micaela Lannon struck out nine batters, while junior Christina Curley had a two-run triple to propel Duxbury to a 9-0 win over Pembroke last Wednesday.

Lannon was on the mark all afternoon, hitting her spots and relying on a superb defense to compliment her pitching. Junior Caroline McSherry continued to have a hot bat with a pair of hits, while junior Alex Leaverton also contributed two hits. Earlier in the week Coach Rod Laniewski thought his team might have been looking ahead to their big Patriot League game with Silver Lake that was eventually rained out, as his squad dropped a 4-1 decision to Marshfield, who Duxbury had defeated 9-2 in the its season-opener.

The Lady Dragons ended their week with a 10-1 pounding of Scituate on Thursday.
