The Duxbury girls’ golf team won its first match of the season with a 5.5-.5 win over Silver Lake in Mass Bay League action last Tuesday.

Cassidy Goldner continues to have a solid season with a 5 and 4 win on the DYC course over Silver Lake’s No. 1 player Lauren Davis. Lexi Macaluso also contributed to the win with a 2-up victory over Emily Hanson. Frances Anne McDonald had to settle for a split with Brenna Roche at No. 3 for Duxbury’s half point, while playing partner Cayla Barker was a 4 and 2 winner over Rachel Morgan.

Elizabeth Loreaux and Emma Fiskio were 4 and 3 winners over Devin Parker and Ashley Adamcewicz, respectively.

The following day the team took on Barnstable in Hyannis, as they tried to avenge a season-opening loss to the Red Raiders.

Goldner remained undefeated in league play after the match, as she defeated Alex Williams, 1-up, while registering two pars.

Fiskio was a 5 and 4 winner over Emily McMahon, while Macaluso halved her match with Shaye Macurdy in the Lady Dragons 3.5-2.5 loss.

Next up for the girls is a Monday encounter with Dennis-Yarmouth on the Cape.
