The Duxbury girls’ cross-country team evened its record at 3-3 with a 24-31 win over Hanover last Tuesday on its 3.1-mile home course.
Senior captain Lauren Bittrich won the race (21:50) going away with a 108-second win over Hanover’s Colie Smith (23:38). Senior captain Caroline Manning captured third (23:45) for the Lady Dragons, while Hanover’s Erin Carr took fourth with a time of 23:52. Senior Kara O’Leary (24:03) and junior Caroline Bittrich (24:14) finished fifth and sixth respectively.
Other Duxbury runners included: junior Rachel Button (ninth overall/ 24:50), junior Julie Weiss (12th/26:00), sophomore Jackie Hanrahan (14th/26:26), senior Christine Doherty (15th/27:32) and Rosie Doherty (16th/29:06).
