Boys win relay title

The State D III State Relays were held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday and the Duxbury boys’ took first-place in the distance medley with a time of 10:53 to beat Medfield (10:54) and Pembroke (10:59 Greg Bray led off (1,200 meters), followed by Brett Sahlberg (400 meters) and Jason Angell (800 meter), with Jonathan McKinley (1,600 meters) anchoring the winning team.

The girls were second to Pembroke in the 4-by-400 relay and participated in the sprint medley. Leading off for Duxbury in the 4-by-400 was Emily Doyle, followed by Liz Runci, Laura Nee and Julia Nee running the anchor leg.

Other runners from Duxbury who competed on Saturday included:Don Webber, Adam Martin, Jon Hurvitz, Alex Stuart, Nick Kangos, and Brody Zisko, who ran well in the sprint medley and 4-by-400.
