The California Rowing Club quadruple-sculls with Will Miller, DHS ’02, rowing in the #3 seat won the Prince of Wales Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta on Sunday July 6, defeating the Leander and London Rowing Club (also known as the British National Lightweight Quadruple-Sculls) by 1 1/2 lengths.

The California Rowing Club quadruple-sculls with Will Miller, DHS ’02, rowing in the #3 seat won the Prince of Wales Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta on Sunday July 6, defeating the Leander and London Rowing Club (also known as the British National Lightweight Quadruple-Sculls) by 1 1/2 lengths. The race was very close and hard fought with Leander/London taking the lead for the first 1/2 mile. California powered through Leander/London during the middle 1/2 mile and held off their advances to win.{sidebar id=4}

To get to the final, the California Rowing Club defeated the Tigre Boat Club from Argentina, the Nottingham/Loughborough Rowing Club from the UK, and the Cardiff University/City Rowing Club, also from the UK.

The Prince of Wales Challenge Cup is a two-boat elimination format starting with 30 entries.
