The Aleppo Shriners of Wilmington have announced the players selected to participate in the 30th Annual Shriners Football Classic, and Duxbury’s Peter Bobseine has been selected as a member of the South squad. Duxbury High School football Coach Dave Maimaron has also been named to the South squad coaching staff, where he will join Peter Columbo of Brockton and Dan Buron of Bridgewater-Raynham.

Bobseine played wide receiver for the Dragons and will attend the University of Colorado next year where he has been selected as an invited walk-on.bobseinefootball.jpg

The Shriners Football Classic is the premier All-Star football game in Eastern Massachusetts and features high school seniors from several communities from across Massachusetts. The game is sponsored by Aleppo Shriners and the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association and is organized as a fundraiser to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children.{sidebar id=1}

Previous games have featured over 30 past and present NFL players including: Steve DeOssie, Doug Flutie, Matt Hasselbeck, Pete Kendall and Jermain Wiggins. This year’s squad features players representing 67 communities across eastern Massachusetts. The game includes several nationally-ranked high school football players including running back Issac Johnson of Everett, offensive lineman Nick Halloran of Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, tight end Mike Stone of Holliston and wide receiver Matt Edwards of Holliston.
