Duxbury’s Tim McKinney was one of several New England high school basketball players recently nominated as a potential candidate for the 2008 McDonalds All-American team. The initial list of names is gathered by Sports American Inc, and approximately 25 players from Massachusetts earned a nomination. The list is then submitted to a Selection Committee reviewing players from across the US.

McKinney, a Boston College HS senior, was the starting guard and co-captain on this year’s Division 1 South Sectional Champs. A late-season injury prevented him from competing in this year’s MIAA playoffs.

McKinney was recently selected to play in the 2008 Boston City HS All-Star game played at Harvard over the weekend.

Tim will end his high school career at BCHS as a three-year starter, during which the team captured the 2007 Division 1 State Championship, as well as three consecutive Catholic Conference titles, and two MIAA South Sectional Championships.
