The Duxbury PRIDE Committee, in conjunction with the Duxbury Youth Lacrosse program, is pleased to announce a private screening of the award winning, inspirational movie “Keeper of the Kohn.”  This documentary directed by David Gaynes features Peter Kohn, former field manager for Middlebury College and a six-time manager of the US National Men’s Lacrosse Team. In this touching documentary that was filmed during the 2003 Middlebury men’s lacrosse season, Kohn, believed to be autistic, is faced with multiple challenges.  He is forced to make a difficult choice between his allegiance to student athletes who are seeking a national championship and tending to a terminally ill friend, all the while reacting emotionally to his impending retirement.  The movie has won several prestigious awards, including the 2005 Jury Award at the Vail International Film Festival, the 2005 Audience Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival and was chosen as the Official Selection at both the Trenton and the River Run Film Festivals.{sidebar id=1}
