Now in its fourth year, the 2008 PMC Powder Point Kids Ride will be held on Sunday, June 15. The ride is an offshoot of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC) and offers up to 750 young riders (ages four-14) from throughout the South Shore the opportunity to be involved in fun and fundraising. Riders collect donations from friends and family to support the Jimmy Fund’s cancer research and treatment and then ride a 3.3-, 6.7- or 10-mile route, or a “trikes and trainers” loop around picturesque Powder Point. In the past three years, the PMC Powder Point Kids Ride has raised more than $140,000 for the Jimmy Fund.
