Duxbury Police arrested a Medford woman for a third offense of operating under the influence on Monday, Dec. 9.
Police received a cell phone report of a black Kia sedan operating erratically on Congress Street. Officer Christopher Johnson located the vehicle, made a similar observation of the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. He placed the female operator under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol. Registry computer files indicate the operator has been convicted on two previous occasions of operating under the influence.
Julie Staunton, 57, of Medford was transported to Duxbury Police Station for booking and was later released after posting bail. She is charged with failure to stay in marked lanes and operating under the influence of alcohol, third offense.
