Forgot to mention some more great coverage of the Zabuli project recently. Editor and Publisher magazine, a national journalism magazine, ran a short piece about Bruce Barrett's trip in their May issue. The link is here , but unfortunately it's a subscriber only site. Publisher's Auxillary, another journalism related publication ran a longer piece on the trip in their recent issue. The link is here , but again I'm not sure if they post all their stories online. I suppose I should find out before I go blogging about it, but just trust me that it's in there somewhere. Maybe I can scan the article in and post it. At any rate it's good to see more coverage of the school project. The Zabulu school website has recently been updated and donations are still needed. You can visit the site at www.thezabulischool.org.

We've been busy the past day or so tracking down information about the
new manager's union at town hall. It's called the Duxbury Professional
Employees Association. We have a couple stories posted to the site
already and will have more coverage in this week's issue.

We're throwing our keep-it-local credo out the window for this week's
paper. Actually, I'm just kidding, that's not true. Deh Subz,
Afghanistan may be about as far away from Duxbury as you can get, but
the Road to Zabuli is still very much a local story. Still have to put
a few finishing touches on the piece tomorrow, but by Wednesday Clipper
readers will get to read the whole story. It's a lengthy piece, but
certainly worth the read. If you'd like a sneak peek, I did finish
editing the footage Bruce took over there. Here you go:
